What is a Nonprofit Budget?
A nonprofit budget is a planning document that breaks down your organization’s projected revenue and expenses. There are several types of nonprofit budgets, but the most common is the annual operating budget, which covers all of your organization’s financial activities for one fiscal year.
Although your nonprofit will create its operating budget from scratch once per year, your team should check in with it at least once a month to determine whether your spending and fundraising are on track and make adjustments as needed.
